ENS170A – Automotive-Grade Air Quality / Multi-Gas Sensor Array

The ENS170A is an automotive-grade, micro-machined, multi-gas / air quality sensor ASIC with integrated Arm Cortex-M0 CPU.

It has a LIN, I2C, SPI, or PWM slave interface in addition to higher processing power for gas detection (reducing and oxidizing). Its additional I2C-master allows it to operate other I2C slave devices, like pressure and humidity sensors and actuators. The ENS170A can serve as the primary controller in these combination modules, thus reducing the overall cost of the BOM.
The ENS170A is perfectly suited for air quality applications, Li-Ion battery state monitoring, and thermal runaway detection thanks to its multi-gas sensor array. Because of its compact design, it may be directly integrated into battery management systems, battery electric vehicle balancers, and stationary battery solutions. It is also suitable for direct board integration in the smallest automotive modules.
