EPC Class 1 Gen 2 Reader IC for Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)

The AS3980 UHF reader is based on the latest 3rd Generation architecture for EPC Class 1 Gen2 Reader ICs for single tag reads and cost sensitive applications targeting the fast moving consumer goods market (FMCG). With a very small QFN48 7x7mm package, integration and low power architecture, down to 2.7V with 65mA, enable its use in handhelds and embedded applications while retaining the flexibility, integration and simplicity of the previous generations requiring a very simple 8-bit microcontroller.
